It’s hard to make people like you, but it’s harder to pretend to be someone else for people to like you. So just be yourself. It’s okay if, among the 10 people around you, only 1 or 2 will like you for what you are. Because those people — those who’ve gone beyond understanding your quirks and who simply accept you for what you are, warts and all — are the people that count and are worth keeping.
